MANILA, Philippines — Oil firms are raising pump prices this week after global oil producers agreed to reduce their supply next month.

“Diesel should increase by P0.60 per liter and gasoline by P0.05 to P0.10 per liter,” Unioil Philippines Inc. said in a statement yesterday. In the past trading week, global oil prices rose after oil exporting countries reached a deal to gradually ease production cuts starting May, Reuters reported.

Before the upcoming price adjustments, gasoline prices were decreased by P1.20 per liter, diesel by P1.30 and kerosene by P1.40 per liter. This brought the year-to-date adjustments to stand at a net increase of P6.15 per liter for gasoline, P4.60 per liter for diesel and P3.50 for kerosene.
